How to Make an Author Website from scratch to online.

A DauntlessWriting guide

In seven reasons why you need an author website, I outlined why it’s a good idea to have one. Now I’m going to show you how to build one. You don’t need to be super web designer or have any experience online to be able to do this. All you need is a little bit of cash for the hosting and I’ll show you how to do the rest. I try to keep things free, because I know that cash is tight in the writing business. However, paying for hosting is unavoidable and can be a great springboard for things to come. You can do some of  the steps in this guide on free hosting such as Blogger or on WordPress’s hosting, but then you can’t use plugins, which means no mailing list integration. That means, a severely gimped site.

In this series that’s currently spends five parts, I will be going over the basics of how to build your website for your author entrepreneur or business from scratch to being able to grow into whatever you need it to grow into. Each part has an accompanying video to help guide you along the website building process. At the end of this series, you will know how to make an author website from nothing.
